At first glance, this is an opposites-attract story. He is rigid and uptight; she is flexible and fun; they rub each other the wrong way. But as we get to know Will and Jasmine, we see that isn't exactly what is happening. Both of them have changed themselves after difficulties in their lives. They both need to get over old wounds so they can be their true selves. Fortunately for us, we get to read about their journey, and it is both funny and touching. The secondary characters are fun, too. Tony is a hoot. There are also glimpses of characters that will come up later in the series. But the best is Maggie! She is so great.This book was a great combination of humor, heat, and emotion. I really enjoyed it.

I seriously did not want to read this series because it was about nerdy/geeks! (sorry I'm was being judgmental) But I read them because I love Kylie Gilmore's books and I am so glad I did. I have loved all of this series so far but this book -Almost Over It- has been my favorite! Will and Jasmine are so great together. The arguments are hilarious but there is so much chemistry between them you can feel it! I cannot say enough good things about this book. Jasmine tries so hard to be tough but she has such a tender heart and Will tries so hard to be uptight but he has a great sense of humor. They both have tempers but love so deeply. I also loved having the epilogue, I wish more books had epilogues that continued the story a few years down the road. Highly recommend this series and this book!
They'd met during the summer doing community theater. They did not get along. It seemed all they did was fight about everything. Now Dr. Will Levi finds out that the stunning but annoyingly loud dance instructor in the adjoining space to his orthodonture clinic is the same woman that drove him crazy all summer.
Jasmine Davis is excited to finally open her own dance studio but things don't go as simple as she hoped when the same uptight, bow-tie wearing man that drove her nuts all summer is also sharing the space next door, and it seems nothing has changed. Will seems to want to pick a fight about every little thing, from her music to the use of parking spaces.
With the two constantly fighting and grating on each others nerves will they ever realize that love and hate straddle a very fine line? Sweet with plenty of heat, this novel was an excellent read, with both Will and Jasmine dealing with past issues determined to outline the rest of their lives and the struggle to come to terms with how those issues are predicting any future happiness.
I give Almost Over it by Kylie Gilmore Five stars! This is book one of the Clover Park STUDS series. This was very well written and had me laughing out loud more than once. Kylie has an amazing writing style and you will fall in love with every character in her books. She is so good that you will be hooked and you will feel the need to read every one of her books.
Jasmine Davis has just opened a dance studio in the little town of Clover Park and much to her not so happy surprise she realizes that she is going to have to share her building with Will Levi the guy she fought with all summer at the Community Theater. Jasmine can not get over the fact that Will is not only irritating but he is so rigid and uptight that it drives her insane. Even though will has these horrible traits Jasmine still find herself drawn to him.
Will Levi use to live his live on the edge and was always considered a bad boy until one fateful day he crashed his car and almost killed his brother in the process. Ever since that fateful day he has been trying to be good to make up for all the bad things he did in his life. When his new neighbor, Jasmine shows up he is irritated with her because he feels he doesn't deserve her but god does he want her. One kiss between the two of them sets everything in motion between the two of them, will they crash and burn or will they figure out how to get along. You will have to read it to find out!
As I got a tiny smidgen of bat s*** in Will's character, I loved this book even more than the first two. And being like the previous books, there was a perfect balance of comedy, romance, emotion, and hot sex. I immediately took an interest in Will, beginning with his outer appearance A stiff, anal-retentive, kinda' mean, hot, bespectacled orthodontist, who always wore bow ties. I knew that with the peeling back of his layers, something truly beautiful was going to emerge. It was the same for Jasmine, of course. She had to let go of her baggage as well, but as she was more of a free spirit, her revelations made a bit more sense to me.
With Will and Jasmine's story, there was the prerequisite assortment of loveable kooky characters, like the old ladies of the knitting club, the other orthodontist Tony and his antics, Will's pothead brother Chaz, Jasmine's kinda' scary dad, and Will's truly evil rescue cat, 'Sweetie'. (Sweetie was so mean that he had to be placed in a new home, that was better suited for him. lol).
The HEA was great, even though the very ending of it was a bit of a stretch, and was not needed, in my opinion. Still, another 5-star read!
